How does laser skin tightening work?

The laser used for laser skin tightening utilizes a safe infrared light to heat the dermis well below the skin's surface. During the procedure, the top surface of the skin (epidermis) is protected through continuous cooling with the handpiece.

Who can be treated with laser skin tightening?

Since laser tightening heats tissue under the skin's surface, patients of any skin type or age can be treated. Your technician can advise if the laser skin tightening laser is right for you.

Patients have been successfully treated with laser tightening on many areas of the body. The most common areas treated are the jawline, under the chin and the abdomen.

How many treatments will I need?

Although a single treatment has produced very good results for many patients, it is common for patients to have two or three treatments over the course of a few months. Your technician can advise you as to the number and frequency of treatments recommended for optimal results.

What happens after treatment?

Immediately following treatment, you may notice some redness and mild swelling in the treated area. Both should dissipate within a few hours.

What do treatments feel like?

With each laser pulse you will feel a brief heating sensation. Some patients are more comfortable taking a mild pain reliever beforehand, though many patients are comfortable without any medication.
