How Is Facial Fat Grafting Performed?
Fat transfer is a two-part process that includes harvesting fat and injection. Since only a minimal amount of fat is required, local or twilight anesthesia may be used. To begin, liposuction will be used to extract fat from areas such as the abdomen, hips, or flanks. Once the fat is removed, it will be processed and then placed in syringes.
The fat will be injected into the treatment areas using different injection angles and techniques to provide ideal immersion rates into the skin and create smoothness. According to each patient's specific treatment plan, fat can be grafted to the cheeks, lips, and/or below the eyes.

Dr. Gunn is absolutely amazing! I researched for a whole year after losing a significant amount of weight and found him in a Facebook plastic surgery group. Even post surgery she’s helped me get through things I’ve had questions about. Every nurse in the office has been very nice and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Gunn to be your surgeon and his professional staff. I’m excited and very satisfied with my results!
Dr Halka performed an explant, breast lift, lipo with fat transfer and labiaplasty. I am thrilled with my results. There is no surgeon better than him in Birmingham - I told him he is a magician.
