Born and raised in New York City, Dr. William Rifkin has dedicated his life to the field of plastic surgery, bringing compassion and expertise to his practice. After completing his undergraduate studies at Tufts University, he went on to earn his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree with honors from New York University Grossman School of Medicine. He also completed a 2-year research fellowship in face transplantation under the mentorship of Dr. Eduardo Rodriguez and the Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Health.
Dr. Rifkin went on to complete his residency training at the renowned Hansjörg Wyss Department of Plastic Surgery at NYU Langone Health where he received rigorous training in all aspects of plastic surgery including aesthetic surgery as well as complex reconstructive microsurgery, craniofacial surgery, and hand surgery.
Passionate about his work and dedicated to exceptional patient care, Dr. Rifkin is known for his meticulous attention to detail and outstanding technical skills in the operating room. Dr. Rifkin’s dedication to his craft has resulted in numerous honors and awards and he has also co-authored over 70 book chapters and scientific papers in leading journals. He specializes in facial aesthetic surgery, breast and body contouring surgery, as well as advanced reconstructive techniques.
